***Còig Christmas - Moving Online***

We’re bringing our Christmas show right to your living room this year.

We knew our annual tour was wasn’t going to work the way we hoped this year, so we went into a theatre and filmed it in advance. Filmed and edited by Mark Westberg, audio mixed by Dave Gunning. We then went to some of our favourite venues and put together a plan for an online tour!

How It Works

Click on the poster above to select your venue, and you’ll be taken to our ‘Streamed to You’ site. There, you can choose from 3 ways to sign - with Gmail, Facebook, or with any other email. Gmail and Facebook are the easiest, but any other email will work too. If you use your email address to sign in, you will be sent a confirmation email. Be sure to check your spam folder if you don't receive an email to your inbox!

After signing in you’ll be directed to the event page for your chosen Venue. We’re working with those venues, and a portion of the ticket price goes to them, so be sure to double check that you’re on the right Venue page. They need our support these days too!

All US tickets are $20 USD, all Canadian shows are $25 CAD. When you purchase your ticket, you’ve purchased access to that page. Come back on show day, and you’re all set! We’ll send you a reminder the day before the show. All shows will remain online for 48 hours, just in case you’re tied up on the day of the show.

As we always do for Christmas tours, we’re raising money for organizations near the venues, your donations stay local. There’ s a “Donate” button on the venue page that lets you know where the money is going, and you can fill in whatever amount you like. We have a separate account for those, so that all donation funds are separate. Be sure to consider helping out if you can.

We hope you sign in and enjoy the show! Thank you in advance for supporting our Còig team, the great folks at all of the Venues, and the charitable organizations that need our help.

And if you're in need of extra Christmas cheer, click on the CD's above to check out our holiday albums, Carols & Carols Too :)

We hope you have a wonderful holiday season with plenty of tunes!

- Darren, Chrissy, & Rachel

Còig is one of Atlantic Canada’s most exciting Celtic traditional groups made up of accomplished multi-instrumentalists, Chrissy Crowley, Rachel Davis and Darren McMullen. With the fiery Celtic high-energy style as its musical core, Còig easily shifts between century-old tunes of past generations to original and upbeat compositions, featuring the band's range of over a dozen instruments (vocals, fiddles, piano, guitars, banjo, mandolin, viola, bouzouki, whistles, and more). With driving tunes, haunting songs and infectious energy, Còig is an unparalleled music force.

Còig’s music is a unique combination of influences that could only come from these players.
“We all come from sort of a traditional background, but then we have different influences that we’re interested in,” explains fiddler and singer Rachel Davis. “Chrissy (Crowley, fiddler) likes to dive into a lot of world music, Darren (mandolin, guitar, banjo, etc.) comes from a kind of Irish theme from playing around a lot. More of the traditional Cape Breton stuff is really what I love, plus all the folk songs, so it’s an interesting mix.”

The Cape Breton quartet have earned rave reviews from audiences around the world and an impressive list of credits for their recordings, ”Rove” (2017), “Carols” (2015) and “Five” (2014) including a Canadian Folk Music Award, a JUNO Award nomination and multiple East Coast Music Awards and Music Nova Scotia Awards.

The best in trad music, in a non-traditional way. That’s Còig.
